I watch a lot of football at this time of year. Every single game that I watched had an ad for the new $20 bill. Not just a commercial, but an image of the new bill projected on the field. The image was at last 20' wide. All this to get me to accept a bill that I would have to use anyway. Looking at the massive images, I thought "Well, no wonder they are anticipating problems." Last month Chuck Richison's water bill was $55. This month it was a little bigger- $7,714,510.21. Chuck kept his sense of humor about it: "It was the 21 cents that got me," he said. "You're not too worried about it because you know even if it is real, you can't afford to pay it." Chuck had had his meter replaced and the new meter didn't work that well. (I guess!) I think everyone has heard Adam Sandler's Hanukah song at one time or another: "David Lee Roth, lights the Menorah" Sandler was, in his comical way, pointing out the number of Jews in show biz ("Tom Cruise isn't, but I heard that his agent is!") but I was surprised at the contributions of Jews to Rock and Roll.
